East London Furniture Exhibition (Icon Design Trail 2012)

JaguarShoes Collective are proud to present East London Furniture at DreamBagsJaguarShoes.

PV: Tuesday 18th September. 7pm till late.

14th September – 18th November.

East London Furniture was founded on a concept of resourcefulness, reuse and sustainability.  Using 100% recycled materials they will be completely transforming the interior of bar/gallery space ‘DreamBagsJaguarShoes’ with an all-encompassing installation from found objects, waste and recycled material. The exhibition will also feature new illustrations from Alessandro Mistrulli and work from film maker Tom Bolwell.

E.L.F create amazing spaces from discarded material sourced from local area. Repurposing waste materials they will construct furniture, lighting and interior features that will be used by the public for the duration of the show. The exhibition intends to provoke thought and conversation about what we throw away and how we can see it differently.

Every piece of timber found is recorded and photographed, so you can trace back to discover the exact source of where the materials were found in your piece of furniture. All the items in the exhibition will be auctioned off at the end of the show.

The exhibition launch will coincide with The London Design Festival and is also part of the Icon design trail.
