TAPE HEADS FILM CLUB present a series of films by cult and multi talented Japanese producer, actor, writer, poet, director, painter TAKESHI KITANO whose work is characterised by beautiful static shots, an often muted colour palette, dark humour, minimal dialogue, and a strong distinctive set of costumes.
Made is 2000, Brother is Kitano’s first film set outside of Japan. He plays the role of Yamamoto, a brutal and experienced Yakuza enforcer exiled to L.A where his brother lives with a small multi-racial gang, who he inspires to expand their influence.
