The Dead Pirates is a London band that came together in 2011 to play songs written by Mcbess and his brother Ben FranklinJr. The quintet play their version of rock’n’roll, a mix of influence going from stoner to old fashioned rock & psych – the perfect Halloween soundtrack!

Out of the ashes of Pastel Colours that grew out of the Falmouth NME-dubbed ‘Kernow Wave’ scene, the group has now streamlined to three in London – stripping away the fat of
keyboards and two guitars. The physical move, as well as the advent of the group as a 3 piece inspired the notion of harder
hitting and more direct songwriting.
