LIVE

Blonde Bunny

‘A ‘freakazoid’ band who play a strange brew of futurist psych and a kind of whimsical neo, dream pop.’ – Artrocker

Blonde Bunny is Toby Wardle, Alexander Collier, The RZ and Bigg Wisdom – four musicians from across the UK: Peterborough, Brighton & Sheffield.

Blonde Bunny’s music could perhaps be described as some sort of futuristic update of progressive-rock – taking influence from sounds that have happened since the original Prog era as well as the music that inspired it in the first place.

With several small sold-out headline shows in London under their belt, the four-piece have received airplay across several regional BBC radio stations for BBC Introducing plus plays on Amazing RadioRadio X and a spin on Tom Robinson’s BBC 6 Music show.

As an in-house unit, the band write, produce, engineer and mix their own tracks as well as directing their music videos and artwork. The members of Blonde Bunny also work on various other side-projects including electronic and ambient music, hip-hop and other instrumental music.

Phobophobes

RIP Records

“A blast at the commercialisation of everyday life, the track has a grinding, nasty gritty feel. Squalid, writhing garage punk..” – Clash Magazine

Phobophobes hail from Peckham, and have built their very own sonic laboratory. Dirty, gritty psychedelia, the band match the low-slung growl of The Birthday Party, say, to the organ-wash of The Seeds.

“Most people consider us ‘psych’ but I think it’s more early-80s post-punk. In all honesty, we don’t care”, states Dan Lyons (ex- Fat White family). And it´s true. Who cares? In Phobophobes what matter´s the message: hate and indifference overlapped in beautiful textures of creepy noises and spooky voices. [The Sense of Doubt]

This winter they will be unleashing their absurdist noise splash onto the unwitting public with their first single “NO FLAVOUR”. Self described as ‘a glammed-up sex-romp of a song that will leave you weeping with desire’, they’re asking you for help; you can do so by clicking on the Pledge Music link below. If you do pledge, you’ll be rewarded..

SHARK DENTIST

Ra Ra Rok Records

“nimble psych-punk fired by six-string squeals, tumbling toms, excessive use of phaser and deadpan doomy humour” – Lost in the Manor

“Sandwich metal” is the term SHARK DENTIST use to describe their music, and if this doesn’t wet your appetite and warrant their attention then their live show certainly will. Filled with squeals addressing the hazards of the wet-shave and bass lines draped in pure sludge, their set will not disappoint those who gained such high expectation reading their facebook bio (if you haven’t already, go and read).

Misty Miller

Relentless Records | Sony

“Grit and confidence to her voice that belies her age” – Hunger Magazine

Self-described as ‘rip roaring surf-time devil dark blues pop’, it’s fair to say Misty is having a pretty great year so far. Having recently supported Jamie T, she’s just been out on a headline tour around the UK and will be performing a solo set boasting intimacy that’s hard to come by. Having just turned 21, you’d really be challenged to find such a talented songster for her age.
