Nouveau Ghetto; Turf War is a collection of characters from artist and designer Alex Noble. Warrior women from another time, sirens, goddesses, queens and slace, the scorned and the adored.
Alex Noble draws on influences from art nouveau to New York B-Girls, Greek mythology to new technology, Voodoo to tattoo, creating a collection of mixed media pieces, where collage is juxtaposed against painting, pencil work and tapestry.
The exhibition also consists of two window installations showing 3D representations of his warriors and their trophies. This installation shows accessories as sculptures, fencing masks adorned with stag antlers and motor cycle helmets with owl feathers.
