Plumen at Kings From The East

From the 3rd – 6th December: Plumen lightbulbs will be taking residency at our Christmas pop-up Emporium.

After the success of London Design Festival, we are pleased to welcome back Plumen, the worlds first designer energy saving bulb.

The energy saving light bulb is a neglected, yet inspiring invention. It uses 80% less energy than the traditional incandescent light bulb, keeps down electricity bills and is better for the environment. It also lasts around 8 times longer.

Despite this, we tend to buy them out of moral obligation. To some the problem is the light they give off, to others it is the way they look. Both have been solved by the Plumen 001 and the Baby Plumen 001

The name Plumen comes from the “plume,” the decorative feathers of a bird and “lumen,” the unit of light and they will be creating a  festive luminous display featuring both the Plumen bulbs and their new range of copper and red dropcaps.

Alongside Plumen our usual collections will also be available; Jaguarshoes Collective crockery, prints and clothing, Electronic Sheep knitwear, Noemi Klein jewellery, Black eyewear, Veja wallets, Lucy Peacock silk scarves, the recently released Wonderwalls book by Supermarket Sarah, a selection of specially commissioned Christmas cards and much more.

Spiced cider/ mulled wine and cinnamon topped Allpress cappucino’s will be available from the cafe, along with its usual selection of teas, coffee, freshly made sandwiches, snacks and pastries.

To coincide with late night shopping The Campari Bar will be at The Old Shoreditch Station every Thursday and Friday night from 6pm to 9pm throughout the Kings From The East Christmas Emporium period.
