We are pleased to announce that our next exhibition at The Old Shoreditch Station will showcase the awe-inspiringly beautiful collection of HARK paper designed artworks.
PV: Thursday 26th January, 7pm till late / Friday 27th January – 26th March 2012 / Old Shoreditch Station. 1 Kingsland Road. London. E2 8AA
HARK was conceived out of Andrew Macgregor and Audrey Roger’s mutual appreciation for colour, pattern and paper. They wanted to combine their knowledge, skills and inspirations to create an environment for people to experience colour and form in a different way. This project marks the beginning of their collaborative career and the exhibition promises to be one of the most ambitious installations that we have ever attempted at The Old Shoreditch Station.
Expanding on traditional themes of DISTORTION, REPETITION and SYMMETRY, these objects play with pattern in both two and three dimensions. The duo will create a landscape of totem poles and shamanic stalactites, woven together by an array of mirrors and lighting design. These two well regarded artists/ designers have worked across many fields, from illustration and fashion, to set design and art direction.
Their portfolios include work for The Guardian, Saatchi & Saatchi, Vogue, Uniqlo, Lacoste, Mazda, Soho House, Tim Walker & Hillman Studio, Christie’s, Somerset House, Selfridges, JaguarShoes Collective, Print Club London and Supermarket Sarah, to name but a few.
To accompany the launch of the show, we will also be producing merchandise inspired by these HARK creations.
