Boskke + Plumen Collaboration for London Design FestivalOld Shoreditch Station18th September 2012

The ceiling is typically a vacant space in most homes and offices, but in recent years both Boskke and Plumen have revolutionized the ceiling landscape, bringing a fresh perspective to both lighting, and urban gardening. The East London based design outfits are natural collaboration partners and will both be launching new products at this event.

Hulger’s Plumen low energy light bulb and Boskke’s Sky Planter will be combined in a site-specific installation. The display will show case a number of living chandeliers that will question unused living space and offer a new perspective on contemporary interiors.

At the official product launch party Boskke will be introducing Sky Planter Clear, a completely transparent planter, allowing you to witness the dynamics of plant growth with soil and water visible through the clear planter.

Hulger will be launching an exciting addition to their Plumen light bulb range, The Baby Plumen 001. Following the form of the original Plumen 001 design, the Baby model shrinks into a more compact format. As either a single element or in series and clusters, the Baby Plumen 001 has all the character and dynamism the original but offers new options for shades and environments.

An opening party will be held on Tuesday 18th September from 7pm until late, which will be hosted by JaguarShoes Collective, an arts organization that collaborates with illustrators, designers and brands to create beautiful and unique products.
