RSS 1ST BIRTHDAY with Love&Mercy + DJ Conditioner & Palms Trax
If you’re already lucky enough to be under the wing of RSS and have come to one of the many ‘illegal raves’ they have put together, you might be surprised to know that they actually began life just 12 months ago; RSS 001 took place in January 2012…
“Since then we have booked countless numbers of our favourite DJs, from both near and far.. London, Edinburgh, Newcastle, NYC, Berlin, Nottingham and most recently LA. As you’d expect, we have lots planned for the next year and beyond, which we’ll definitely be inviting you to, wanting you to get involved in and posting all over your facebook wall at least 3 times a week.
So, after a brief hiatus taking in the bright lights of Dalston (Dance Tunnel, Hysteria) we’re heading back to our spiritual home… our favourite basement in London – DREAMBAGS JAGUARSHOES, we are bringing down two of our favourite London DJ crews…
First up is Man Make Music’s LOVE&MERCY… these three throw it down, no specific sound, no rules, just vibrate 4×4 grooves and big party ballads.
Check out one of our favourite mixes from the last year
Next up, our best buds and probably the most lively and uncompromising DJs on the London underground, DJ CONDITIONER & PALMS TRAX… better known to you as the Streets Of Beige / Lobster Theremin / Etiquette founders. If you need to spice up your life, we will be popping this pair on at 1am til close so get down and get sweaty! Expect a colourful array of House, Techno and Acid with the deepest grooves known to ‘these ere’ parts.
Watch out for the first pressing on the Lobster Theremin Label, which see’s Palms Trax coming through with a serious ‘ONE TO WATCH’ tagline… His new EP really is mind blowing. You’ll also no doubt hear plenty of forthcoming material on the night from Tom Hang and Chicago Flotation Device..
Sample a early demo here –
Starting off the night as ever will be OMAR DAZE and KING DOM, warming up the early birds from 9pm…
FREE as always, late as hell Cocktail Bar, RSS ‘Funktion One’ Sound System (‘Best In London’ – Jon Rust)”
